.PT presents the .PT Young Female Student Award at the 12th edition of Apps for Good

.PT attended the awards ceremony of the 12th edition of Apps for Good, CDI Portugal’s educational programme that challenges students to create apps that solve social problems, and presented the .PT Young Female Student Award to Maria Afonso, a student at Escola Secundária Fernando Namora, in Amadora, for the EcoLens app.

Many products present themselves as sustainable through terms such as "Eco”, "Natural” or "Bio”, and this information is not always true. EcoLens analyses labels, flags potentially misleading claims and helps identify more sustainable products. It is a response to greenwashing, giving shoppers back the ability to make informed choices.

Sandra Martins, Innovation and Digital Impact Coordinator at .PT, received the Expert of the Year Award, which recognises the experts who volunteer to support students throughout the year at every stage of the project.

Registration for the 13th edition is now open. Find out more here.
