.PT and National Cybersecurity Centre launch website verification platform

The DNS.PT Association, the manager of the Portuguese top-level domain .pt, and the National Cybersecurity Centre, the national authority specialized in cybersecurity, provide webcheck.pt, an online platform that allows users to verify, in real time, the level of compliance of an internet domain and an e-mail with the latest standards for secure communication between systems.

Webcheck.pt was officially presented during the 5th edition of the International Conference on Cybersecurity (C-DAYS 2019) and aims to promote the adoption of good practices that contribute to the security, integrity and confidentiality of internet communications.

Adapted to the national context and legislation, the webcheck.pt platform offers the user an intuitive and user-friendly interface. In addition to identifying the level of compliance of an internet domain and an e-mail with the main security standards, namely DNSSEC, DANE, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, the platform allows access to a set of relevant technical standards and tutorials that help their implementation. 

The webcheck.pt platform, which results from the joint work of the National Cybersecurity Centre and the .PT, aims to raise awareness for the adoption of security habits among the internet community, contributing to ensure greater reliability and safer access for all.
