Sustainability and Digital Transformation Policy
.PT assumes and recognizes, as a fundamental commitment, sustainability and digital transformation as strategic and interrelated areas of its action that guarantee the development and future of the organization, and the creation of value in the domain name management ecosystem, in particular for our people, registrars, customers and partners.
Pursuing a sustainable development model1, based on the dimensions of strategic, economic, social and environmental management that are based on the principles of ESG - Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the applicable legal requirements, we commit to:
Pursuing a sustainable business model based on innovation and technological transformation through participation, active involvement and support for relevant projects, initiatives in the area of digital and Internet development, becoming a reference player in the construction of a more inclusive and more digital Portugal;
Provide customers, partners and suppliers with digital communication channels and innovative technological solutions to support the core activity of registering and managing .pt domain names, ensuring the optimization of processes, confidentiality, integrity, availability and privacy of information;
Deepen the commitment with employees, companies, organizations and society in general with regard to the development of digital skills and definition of collaborative strategies to promote environmentally sustainable practices, favoring the use of technology and digital platforms, in favor of well-being and balance between personal and professional life, diversity and equal opportunities;
Conserving and managing the resources in a balanced and sustainable way, encouraging good practices for protecting the environment, continuously implementing solutions that reduce the negative impact of our activity, namely those inherent to climate change, carbon neutrality, waste management, and circular economy, prioritizing:
• The use of energy from renewable sources
• Sustainable mobility
• Measures of efficient use and sustainable consumption
• The choice of reusable materials and the minimization of the use of disposable materials, in particular plastic
• Selective collection and recycling
.PT guides its action in a perspective of continuous improvement of the performance of sustainability commitments, through the periodic review and updating of policies, processes and objectives, aligned with the ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, DNPTS4577-1:2021 and DNPTS4577-3:2022 references.
